The disability arising from the prolonged illness of chronic diseases make the quality of life worse for most of the afflicted. Yet chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, arthritis, diabetes, and asthma are the most controllable, if not preventable.
Webster County Health Unit is committed to assisting people in maintaining a good quality of life through prevention and management of chronic diseases. The Healthy Living program offers free educational classes on a monthly basis. Each class is focused on a specific chronic disease and is designed to educate you on the disease, its effects on your health, prevention, and how to manage living with it.
