Some of the most difficult choices concern a child’s health care.

Whether or not to immunize children against certain diseases is a difficult decision. We all want to do what is best for our children, and as a community, we also need to protect the public’s health.

Research shows that childhood immunizations are a safe and effective way to protect our children and our community against communicable diseases. Some of these diseases are becoming more rare — that’s because of successful vaccination programs. If we stop vaccinating our children, those diseases will come back.

The Health Unit offers all required childhood immunizations to children 18 and under. Immunizations are provided Mondays through Friday in Marshfield. The Health Unit also offers adult immunizations.
